Full Stack Engineer
Work across the stack, from the clinical workflow screens down to the APIs, data models, and agent pipelines that turn a captured session into a billable note.
Cadence ABA builds AI-native clinical data software for ABA practices - capturing session trials by voice, structuring the data, tracking mastery trends, and drafting billable session notes so clinicians can stay present with the child instead of the tablet. We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the product across our web application, backend services, and the agentic systems that power capture, mastery tracking, and documentation.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain features across the full stack, from front-end UI to backend APIs and data models
- Work closely with product and clinical stakeholders to translate ABA workflows into reliable, well-tested software
- Build and maintain integrations with voice capture, data structuring, and note-generation pipelines
- Contribute to the reliability, performance, and security of a system handling protected health information
- Participate in code review, architecture discussions, and technical planning
- Help evolve internal tooling, testing practices, and deployment processes as the platform grows
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building full stack web applications, including both front-end and backend work
- Strong proficiency with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework and a backend language/framework you can point to in production
- Experience designing and working with relational databases and REST or similar APIs
- Comfort working in a codebase that handles sensitive data, with attention to security and compliance considerations
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, code review, and debugging
- Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating directly with product and clinical teams
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare, clinical, or other regulated-data software
- Familiarity with HIPAA-related engineering practices (encryption, audit logging, role-based access)
- Experience working with or building AI/agent-based product features
- Experience with offline-capable or voice-driven application features
