Frontend Engineer
Build the screens clinicians work in - live capture, graphs, documentation review - fast enough for the room and exact enough for a note someone signs.
Cadence ABA builds AI-native clinical software for ABA therapy - capturing session data by voice, structuring it into trial-by-trial records, tracking mastery, and drafting billable session notes so clinicians can stay present with the child instead of a tablet. We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and refine the interfaces clinicians rely on during and after every session.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain user-facing features across the product, from live session capture views to graphing and documentation review screens
- Translate clinical workflows into responsive, intuitive interfaces used in fast-paced, real-time settings
- Collaborate with design and backend engineers to ship features end-to-end, including work tied to voice capture, data visualization, and note drafting
- Optimize application performance, including offline-capable views and reliability in low-connectivity environments
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Contribute to the evolution of the frontend architecture as the product scales
What we're looking for
- Solid experience building production web applications with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework (e.g., React or similar)
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and responsive UI implementation
- Experience integrating with REST or similar APIs and handling real-time or streaming data
- Comfort working in a domain with strict data integrity and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate closely with design and product to turn workflows into usable interfaces
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience with offline-first or low-connectivity web app design
- Experience building data visualization or charting interfaces
- Familiarity with HIPAA or other regulated-data environments
- Experience in healthcare, clinical, or education technology
