Clinical presence, not data entry

Cadence is an agentic clinical assistant for ABA practices. It handles the capture, analysis, and compliance work that pulls clinicians away from the people in front of them — so BCBAs and RBTs can stay present.

The problem we started with

ABA is one of the most data-intensive disciplines in healthcare. Every session generates trials, behaviors, graphs, notes, and billing — and most of it is still captured by hand and reconciled after hours. The result is a quiet tax on the field: clinicians spend their evenings on documentation instead of their clients, and the best data often never makes it into a decision.

We think that trade-off is a tooling failure, not a fact of the work.

What Cadence does

Cadence pairs a fast, offline-tolerant capture experience with a set of clinical agents that do the work around the data — not the clinical judgment itself:

  • Capture across all eight ABA measurement systems, built for one-handed use during a live session.
  • Analysisthat reads a target’s trend and proposes phase changes, mastery advances, or plan changes — for a BCBA to accept or reject.
  • Compliance that watches for unsigned notes, missing co-signatures, and authorization gaps before they become audit findings.

The clinician stays the decision-maker. Agents propose; a qualified human reviews, edits, and signs.

How we build

  • Clinician-led.Every workflow is shaped by how ABA is actually practiced and supervised, not how it’s easiest to build.
  • Human-in-the-loop by design. Automation drafts and surfaces; people decide. Signed clinical records are attested and append-only.
  • Compliance-first. HIPAA safeguards, encrypted PHI, a tamper-evident audit trail, and a Business Associate Agreement are the floor, not an upsell.
  • Your data is yours. Full client and organization export is built in — portability is a right, not a retention tactic.

Who we are

Cadence is early and founder-led — built by people who’ve done the after-hours notes and would rather no one else had to. We’re small on purpose right now, close to the clinicians we build for, and honest about where we are on the road.

If Cadence sounds like the tool your team has been missing, we’d love to show you.
